For Summer 2026
There are several benefits for Summer Music Camp: It reinforces music skills while having fun with peers at the same time; helps bridge the gap between summer and fall lessons; allows concentrated study of note-reading, rhythm, sight-reading, listening, playing in ensembles, composition, and learning more about music history than is possible in a normal lesson; also involves movement; music appreciation; and listening skills are developed; creativity is reinforced by composing; doing arts and crafts related to what we are learning; as well as writing original skits; it’s a great opportunity to further your knowledge of music in a relaxed, fun atmosphere with friends! Last, but not least, It’s LOTS OF FUN!

June 1-5, 2026 (Mon-Fri) Dynamic Music! Discovery Camp ~ (Rookies) – This camp is for kids, ages 4-8, who have had 1 year or less of lessons or no lessons. This is a general, fun music camp where we learn some piano and do a lot of music games, sing songs, act, move, and play rhythm instruments.

June 15-19, 2026 (Mon-Fri) Dynamic Music! Piano Camp ~ American Folk Songs (Piano Only) – This camp gives you a well-rounded experience overall with several activities, including playing different types of music games (such as board games and theory games) with the whole group, in small groups, or individually; playing in ensembles; and making up skits and stories. We will learn about folk songs from different regions of the U.S., including some Western Folk songs! On the last day of the camp, we present a recital for the parents & friends. This is an especially great camp for older students!

June 30-July 4, 2026 (Mon-Fri) Dynamic Music! Patriotic Camp ~Dunwoody 4th of July Parade – (prerequisite: must have one year of lessons or done the Discovery Camp) In this camp, we will learn the state songs of the Southeastern region of the U.S., as well as learning other Patriotic songs, such as The Star-Spangled Banner, My Country ‘tis of Thee, and 3 Cheers for The Red, White, and Blue, etc., so that we can play them in the Dunwoody 4th of July Parade! We will build a float for the parade, too.

July 20-24, 2026 (Mon-Fri) Dynamic Music! Composition Camp ~ (must be able to read music notes on the staff) In this camp, we will learn about the elements of music in order to write compositions; compose many individual and group songs; learn conducting patterns; and learn how to use Dorico, a music software program. Thumb drives will be given out in the camp and can be taken home at the end of the week. On the last day of the camp, we present a recital of our compositions for parents & friends. Though not necessary, you may bring your iPad to use, or you may use one of the studio computers or iPad.

Costs:
Dynamic Music! – Discovery Camp: $230.00
Dynamic Music! – Patriotic Camp: $300.00
Dynamic Music! – Piano Camp: $300.00
Dynamic Music! – Composition Camp: $260.00
Materials included in cost:
Camp T-shirt; Music books and Notebooks; Certificates; Trophies; Prizes; and a snack each day.
Fees are due 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the camp session. Late fees are $20.00 per session. Checks should be made out to ‘Leslie Kennedy’, or you may use Venmo (Leslie Kennedy @Leslie-Kennedy-9); or Zelle (678 462-3096).
Additional fees: early arrival /late pickup: $5.00 per 15 minute increments; or you may pay in advance.
Cancellations: 2 weeks prior to the beginning of camp: $50.00 will be retained out of the camp fee. 1 week prior to the beginning of camp: $100.00 will be retained out of the camp fee. No money will be refunded in the middle of a camp session. Full refund will be given if the minimum number of campers needed is not met; or you may switch to another camp.
Slots are on a first-come, first-serve basis. A waiting list will be in place if necessary.
Bowling or Swimming
Additional fees must be given to either or place for Dynamic Music Camps. Bowling: please make sure to wear or bring a pair of socks! If you have your own bowling shoes/ball, make sure to bring them, too. Swimming: please make sure to bring a bathing suit, towel, flip-flops, and sunscreen.
